What we build
The first tool is an Etsy profit calculator for US sellers using Etsy.com, a US bank account, and USD. It supports order contribution profit, a Payment Account estimate, and target-price scenarios within documented boundaries.
How estimates are handled
Automated marketplace rules are versioned and tied to official source evidence where available. Unsupported or ambiguous scenarios fail closed instead of silently substituting zero or a nearby rule. Product conventions, including cent rounding, are disclosed separately from Etsy-confirmed behavior.
Editorial standards
MarginGauge Editorial publishes original guides for marketplace sellers. Fee and policy claims are checked against official marketplace policies, help-center articles, or program terms before publication. Source update dates, marketplace effective dates, and MarginGauge review dates are recorded separately when that information is available.
Worked examples use disclosed assumptions and the same whole-cent calculation rules as the calculator. They are illustrative models, not copied seller statements or claims about typical profit. When an official source does not resolve a behavior, the guide labels the uncertainty instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
Corrections and source updates can be sent to [email protected]. Material corrections update the visible review date.
Privacy by design
Calculator arithmetic runs in the browser. MarginGauge does not require an Etsy account connection and is designed so analytics never receives calculator amounts, item details, state selections, coupons, or other financial inputs.
Independence
MarginGauge is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Etsy, Inc. Etsy is a trademark of Etsy, Inc.
